Trip to Hwange National Park

Formerly the royal hunting reserve for the Ndebele King (Mzilikazi), Hwange National Park is a prime wildlife area set aside for this sole purpose – conservation and preservation of wildlife. Its sheer size (14000squre kilometres- roughly the size of Belgium) ensures the free roaming of the big five, lots of other smaller plains game and smaller predators.
The park is subdivided into three camps viz ; the Robins Camp area known for its game infested waterholes, the Sinamathela Camp area famous for the panoramic views and close to 100% chances of encountering the Lions, the Rhino and the elusive Leopard, and the Main Camp area  where sightings of the big five (on multi-day trips) are not uncommon.

There are around 450 species of wildlife making this park one of the ornithologists’ paradise and more than 100 species of wildlife.
